La historia

María llega a la oficina temprano. Saluda a todos. Deja su bolso en la silla. Hoy la computadora está lenta. María no está contenta.

Jorge entra con una taza de café. Mira a María. Dice: "Necesito hablar contigo un momento". María está nerviosa. "¿Hay un problema? ¿Estás enojado?" Jorge responde: "No. Tengo una pregunta".

Ellos se sientan cerca de la ventana. Jorge habla con calma. "Hay un celular en mi mesa. ¿Es tu celular?" María abre los ojos. "Sí. Es mío". Jorge dice: "¡Tengo dos celulares!"

Jorge sonríe. "No pasa nada. Tu celular está bien". En la pantalla hay un mensaje. El mensaje dice gracias. Jorge le da el celular. María también sonríe.

Después ellos vuelven al trabajo. María usa la computadora. Jorge trae más café. Ahora todo está bien. María dice: "Gracias por hablar conmigo".

3 · English Translation

The full story in English

María arrives at the office early. She greets everyone. She leaves her bag on the chair. Today the computer is slow. María is not happy.

Jorge comes in with a cup of coffee. He looks at María. He says: "I need to talk to you a moment." María is nervous. "Is there a problem? Are you angry?" Jorge answers: "No. I have a question."

They sit near the window. Jorge speaks calmly. "There is a cell phone on my table. Is it your cell phone?" María opens her eyes. "Yes. It is mine." Jorge says: "I have two cell phones!"

Jorge smiles. "No problem. Your cell phone is fine." There is a message on the screen. The message says thank you. Jorge gives her the cell phone. María smiles too.

Afterward they return to work. María uses the computer. Jorge brings more coffee. Now everything is fine. María says: "Thank you for talking with me."
