La historia
Lucía llegó al aeropuerto temprano con su celular en la mano. Su maleta azul rodaba detrás de ella. Tenía un vuelo nacional a Maracaibo. Quería hacerlo todo de una vez para no correr después. En la fila de facturación, un empleado le sonrió. Luego le pidió el pasaporte.
Lucía puso la maleta sobre la cinta. El empleado parecía preocupado. "Esta etiqueta tiene otro nombre", dijo. Lucía miró la etiqueta. El número del vuelo estaba bien. Pero la maleta tenía una cinta roja. Su maleta no tenía esa cinta. "Qué raro", pensó.
Ella llamó a su mamá de una vez. "¿Dejé mi maleta en casa por accidente?" Su mamá revisó la habitación. "No está aquí", respondió. Entonces Lucía recordó su paso por la sala de espera. Allí tomó una maleta parecida por error. Un guardia la acompañó hasta un banco. Su maleta estaba allí. Compararon las etiquetas.
Después de unos minutos, una señora se acercó muy apurada. "Esa es la mía", dijo. Sonrió con alivio. Las dos se rieron de la confusión y cambiaron las maletas. La señora le deseó buen viaje. Lucía volvió al mostrador y entregó su maleta. Después caminó hacia la puerta de embarque.
Lucía compró un café pequeño y revisó su número de asiento. Cuando anunciaron el embarque, estaba lista. Subió al autobús hacia el avión. Todo salió bien. "La próxima vez voy a revisar la etiqueta", pensó.

The full story in English
Lucía arrived at the airport early with her cell phone in her hand. Her blue suitcase rolled behind her. She had a domestic flight to Maracaibo. She wanted to do everything at once to avoid rushing later. In the check-in line, an employee smiled at her. Then he asked for her passport.
Lucía put the suitcase on the belt. The employee looked worried. "This tag has another name," he said. Lucía looked at the tag. The flight number was correct. But the suitcase had a red ribbon. Her suitcase did not have that ribbon. "How strange," she thought.
She called her mom right away. "Did I leave my suitcase at home by accident?" Her mom checked the room. "It isn't here," she replied. Then Lucía remembered her visit to the waiting area. There she took a similar suitcase by mistake. A guard accompanied her to a bench. Her suitcase was there. They compared the tags.
After a few minutes, a woman approached in a great hurry. "That one is mine," she said. She smiled with relief. The two women laughed at the confusion and swapped suitcases. The woman wished her a good trip. Lucía returned to the counter and handed over her suitcase. Then she walked toward the boarding gate.
Lucía bought a small coffee and checked her seat number. When boarding was announced, she was ready. She got on the bus to the plane. Everything went well. "Next time I'm going to check the tag," she thought.
