La historia
El lunes a la mañana, Lucía llegó a la oficina con el café en la mano. Ese día tenían una reunión importante con un cliente. Ella había prometido llevar el informe final. Cuando abrió su computadora, vio que la carpeta compartida estaba vacía. Revisó dos veces, pero el archivo no aparecía. Miró la hora y trató de no ponerse nerviosa.
Martín, que trabajaba al lado, levantó la vista y le preguntó qué pasaba. Lucía explicó que la reunión empezaba en veinte minutos. Él dijo: "Quizás lo guardaste con otro nombre". Ella estaba segura de haberlo subido la noche anterior. Abrió otra carpeta y encontró una copia vieja, sin las últimas correcciones. "No, este no sirve", dijo, ya con menos paciencia.
Sonia, la coordinadora, escuchó la conversación. "No te preocupes. Ayer trabajamos en mi computadora", le recordó. Los tres buscaron allí y encontraron el documento como "informe final v2" en vez de "informe final". Lucía recordó que había olvidado subirlo después de cambiarle el nombre. On Monday morning, Lucía arrived at the office with coffee in her hand. That day they had an important meeting with a client. She had promised to bring the final report. When she opened her computer, she saw that the shared folder was empty. She checked twice, but the file did not appear. She looked at the time and tried not to get nervous.
Martín, who worked next to her, looked up and asked her what was happening. Lucía explained that the meeting started in twenty minutes. He said: "Maybe you saved it under another name." She was sure she had uploaded it the night before. She opened another folder and found an old copy, without the latest corrections. "No, this one won't do," she said, already with less patience.
Sonia, the coordinator, heard the conversation. "Don't worry. Yesterday we worked on my computer," she reminded her. The three of them searched there and found the document as "informe final v2" instead of "informe final." Lucía remembered that she had forgotten to upload it after changing its name. She felt relief, but also a little embarrassment. Some corrections were still needed, and there was little time left.
While Martín checked the numbers, Lucía corrected a couple of graphs and Sonia prepared the email. They had to act without wasting time. The meeting went better than they expected. The client thanked them for the clarity of the report and congratulated the team. Before returning to her desk, Lucía said to Martín and Sonia: "Thank you for helping me. Today I'm going to organize the folders to find everything more easily." After that, they all went for another coffee, feeling calmer.
