La historia
Sofía llegó temprano al salón. Llevaba su cuaderno y su celular. Vio a un hombre nuevo junto a la puerta. Él miraba el horario con atención.
Sofía sonrió y dijo: "Hola. ¿Tú también vas al curso?" El hombre respondió: "Sí. Me llamo Andrés". Ella dijo: "Qué pena. Pensé que eras el profesor". Andrés rió y contestó: "No, yo también soy estudiante".
Luego Sofía buscó un puesto libre. Andrés señaló una silla cerca de la ventana. "Ese puesto es para ti", dijo él. Sofía vio otro nombre en la mesa. El puesto era para otra persona. Entonces buscaron dos puestos libres.
"Gracias", dijo Sofía. "Nos sentamos juntos". Andrés sonrió. Sacó un cuaderno pequeño de su bolso y lo puso sobre la mesa. "Yo necesito practicar conversación", dijo. "Y yo necesito escuchar más", respondió Sofía.
Antes de la clase, una profesora entró al salón. Saludó a todos y preguntó por los nombres. Sofía presentó a Andrés. Él presentó a Sofía. Los dos estaban tranquilos y listos para aprender.
Al final, Andrés le pidió a Sofía su número. "Podemos estudiar después", dijo él. Sofía respondió: "Claro. Con mucho gusto". Salieron del salón hablando despacio. Ahora eran amigos.

The full story in English
Sofía arrived early at the classroom. She was carrying her notebook and her cell phone. She saw a new man by the door. He was looking at the schedule carefully.
Sofía smiled and said: "Hi. Are you also going to the class?" The man answered: "Yes. My name is Andrés." She said: "Sorry. I thought you were the teacher." Andrés laughed and replied: "No, I am a student too."
Then Sofía looked for an empty seat. Andrés pointed to a chair near the window. "That seat is for you," he said. Sofía saw another name on the desk. The seat was for another person. Then they looked for two empty seats.
"Thanks," said Sofía. "Let's sit together." Andrés smiled. He took a small notebook out of his bag and put it on the table. "I need to practice conversation," he said. "And I need to listen more," Sofía replied.
Before class, a teacher entered the classroom. She greeted everyone and asked for their names. Sofía introduced Andrés. He introduced Sofía. Both were calm and ready to learn.
In the end, Andrés asked Sofía for her number. "We can study later," he said. Sofía answered: "Of course. With pleasure." They left the classroom talking slowly. Now they were friends.
