La historia
Mariana llegó a la oficina a las ocho. Su jefe le pidió un informe para hoy. Ella abrió su computadora y revisó sus notas. El informe tenía los gastos de la oficina.
Después vio un número raro en la tabla. Pensó que era un error pequeño. Mariana no podía entregar el trabajo así. Buscó el número en sus notas. Allí estaba escrito de otra forma.
Mariana caminó al escritorio de Luis. Le dijo: "¿Puedes revisar este dato?" Luis sonrió y tomó la hoja. "Sí", dijo él. Mariana le mostró sus notas y señaló el número.
Luis encontró el problema en dos minutos. La suma estaba mal escrita. Había un cinco en lugar de un tres. Mariana corrigió el informe y guardó el archivo nuevo. Luego imprimió una copia.

The full story in English
Mariana arrived at the office at eight. Her boss asked her for a report for today. She opened her computer and reviewed her notes. The report contained the office expenses.
Then she saw a strange number in the chart. She thought it was a small mistake. Mariana could not hand in the work like this. She looked for the number in her notes. It was written differently there.
Mariana walked to Luis's desk. She said to him, "Can you check this figure?" Luis smiled and took the sheet. "Yes," he said. Mariana showed him her notes and pointed to the number.
Luis found the problem in two minutes. The sum was written incorrectly. There was a five instead of a three. Mariana corrected the report and saved the new file. Then she printed a copy.
Then she went to her boss and gave him the document. He read it calmly. "The report was ready on time," he said. "Thank you for checking the numbers." Mariana returned to Luis's desk to thank him.
Mariana smiled because everything turned out well. Before lunch, she sent the file by email. After that, she had a coffee and kept working.
