La historia

Ana llega a la casa de Luis. Es una fiesta de cumpleaños. Ella trae refrescos y vasos. La música suena suave. Hay globos en la sala. Ana dice: "La fiesta está chévere".

Luis abre la puerta. Él mira la bolsa de Ana. "¿Trajiste la torta?", pregunta. Ana se queda en silencio. Ella piensa en un momento.

Ana sonríe y mira adentro. "No traje torta", dice. "Traje refrescos y vasos." Luis se ríe. "Yo compré la torta", dice él. Ana respira tranquila. Ella dice: "¡Qué brutal!"

Los amigos llegan poco a poco. Algunos bailan. Otros hablan cerca de la mesa. Ana sirve refrescos. Luis corta la torta. Todos cantan "Cumpleaños feliz". La noche sigue alegre.

The full story in English

Ana arrives at Luis's house. It is a birthday party. She brings soda and cups. The music plays softly. There are balloons in the living room. Ana says: "The party is cool."

Luis opens the door. He looks at Ana's bag. "Did you bring the cake?" he asks. Ana stays silent. She thinks for a moment.

Ana smiles and looks inside. "I did not bring cake," she says. "I brought soda and cups." Luis laughs. "I bought the cake," he says. Ana breathes calmly. She says: "Great!"

The friends arrive little by little. Some dance. Others talk near the table. Ana serves soda. Luis cuts the cake. Everyone sings "Happy Birthday." The night goes on happily.

Later, Ana picks up the cups. Luis gives her a piece of cake. "Thank you for coming," he says. Ana smiles again. The party ends well.
