La historia

Ana entra en una cafetería de Buenos Aires. Es temprano. Hay una mesa libre cerca de la ventana. Ana se sienta. Su bolso está en otra silla.

Ana tiene hambre. También quiere una bebida caliente. Mira el menú. Un café con leche cuesta tres mil pesos. Ana pide ese café y un pan.

El camarero llega con una taza y un plato. El pan está en el plato. Pero la taza tiene té. Ana mira la bebida. No es su café.

Ana habla con el camarero. "Este té no es para mí. Quiero un café con leche". El camarero mira la taza. "Perdón. El té es para otra mesa".

El camarero lleva el té a otra mesa. Después trae el café. Ana dice gracias. Ahora tiene su bebida. Come el pan y toma su café.

3 · English Translation

The full story in English

Ana enters a coffee shop in Buenos Aires. It is early. There is a free table near the window. Ana sits down. Her bag is on another chair.

Ana is hungry. She also wants a hot drink. She looks at the menu. A coffee with milk costs three thousand pesos. Ana orders this coffee and a bread roll.

The waiter arrives with a cup and a plate. The bread roll is on the plate. But the cup contains tea. Ana looks at the drink. It is not her coffee.

Ana speaks with the waiter. "This tea is not for me. I want a coffee with milk". The waiter looks at the cup. "Sorry. The tea is for another table".

The waiter takes the tea to another table. Then he brings the coffee. Ana says thank you. Now she has her drink. She eats the bread roll and drinks her coffee.
