La historia
Ana organizó una fiesta pequeña para su cumpleaños en su apartamento. Invitó a cinco amigos y compró comida, jugo, refrescos y algunos vasos de papel. También pidió una pizza grande, porque sabía que varios llegarían con hambre. Quería que todo saliera bien, así que limpió la sala, puso música suave y dejó espacio para bailar.
A las siete, todo estaba listo. Solo faltaba Luis, su amigo más puntual. Ana miró el celular varias veces y pensó que tal vez había olvidado la fiesta. Empezó a sentirse un poco nerviosa. También revisó la mesa, aunque ya estaba perfecta, y se preguntó si el pastel seguiría fresco.
Entonces sonó el teléfono. Era Luis. Le dijo que estaba en camino, pero que el autobús se había retrasado por el tráfico. También explicó que llevaba la torta y que la había dejado en una tienda cercana mientras resolvía un problema con el pago. Ana escuchó en silencio y entendió que no la había llamado antes porque quería arreglar todo primero.
Ana respiró tranquila y le respondió: "No hay problema, te esperamos." Luis llegó quince minutos después, con la cara cansada pero sonriente. Todos aplaudieron cuando entró con la torta. The full story in English
Ana organized a small party for her birthday in her apartment. She invited five friends and bought food, juice, soda, and some paper cups. She also ordered a large pizza because she knew several would arrive hungry. She wanted everything to go well, so she cleaned the living room, put on soft music, and left space for dancing.
At seven, everything was ready. Only Luis was missing, her most punctual friend. Ana looked at her phone several times and thought that maybe he had forgotten the party. She started to feel a little nervous. She also checked the table, although it was already perfect, and wondered if the cake would still be fresh.
Then the phone rang. It was Luis. He told her that he was on his way, but that the bus had been delayed by traffic. He also explained that he was bringing the cake and that he had left it in a nearby store while he solved a problem with the payment. Ana listened in silence and understood that he had not called her before because he wanted to fix everything first.
Ana breathed calmly and answered him, "No problem, we'll wait for you." Luis arrived fifteen minutes later, with a tired but smiling face. Everyone clapped when he came in with the cake. Then he told what had happened at the store and showed the receipt. Ana laughed, turned off the lights, and said that they could start now.
Later, the music got louder and the friends danced in the living room. Someone put on another song and everyone sang a little. Ana thought that the night had started with stress, but it ended up being very special. In the end, she thanked Luis for the help and said that next year she would have another party, but with more time to organize it and without so much rushing.
