La historia
Nadia llegó a su departamento después del trabajo y dejó su bolso sobre la mesa. Buscó su llavero, pero no lo encontró. Abrió la puerta con la llave de repuesto y pensó que tal vez lo había dejado en la oficina. Miró otra vez dentro del bolso, pero seguía sin verlo.
Primero revisó el bolso, la chaqueta y el suelo de la cocina. Después miró cerca del computador, porque a veces ponía cosas pequeñas ahí. Nada. Entonces llamó a su vecina, Marta, y le preguntó si había visto un llavero con una cinta azul. Marta contestó que no, pero prometió ayudarla.
Marta dijo que sí había visto una llave en el pasillo por la mañana. Nadia se quedó en silencio. Recordó que, al salir, había buscado las llaves mientras hablaba por celular con su hermano. Tal vez el llavero se había caído en ese momento. La idea la hizo bajar rápido al pasillo.
Bajó al pasillo y revisó cerca de la puerta. No vio nada. Luego regresó al living y levantó los cojines del sofá. Ahí estaba el llavero, escondido entre la tela y una moneda. Nadia sonrió y dijo: "Qué alivio". Había perdido solo unos minutos, pero ya se sentía mejor.
Más tarde, le contó a Marta lo que había pasado. Marta se rió y le dijo que, desde ese día, usaría un gancho junto a la entrada. Nadia estuvo de acuerdo. Antes de dormir, dejó el llavero en un lugar fijo y pensó que mañana saldría al tiro sin buscar tanto. También decidió revisar su bolso antes de entrar.

Nadia arrived at her apartment after work and left her bag on the table. She looked for her keychain, but she did not find it. She opened the door with the spare key and thought that maybe she had left it at the office. She looked inside the bag again, but she still could not see it.
First she checked the bag, the jacket, and the kitchen floor. Then she looked near the computer, because sometimes she put small things there. Nothing. Then she called her neighbor, Marta, and asked her if she had seen a keychain with a blue ribbon. Marta answered no, but she promised to help her.
Marta said that she had seen a key in the hallway in the morning. Nadia stayed silent. She remembered that, when she left, she had been looking for her keys while talking on her cell phone with her brother. Maybe the keychain had fallen at that moment. The idea made her go down to the hallway quickly.
She went down to the hallway and checked near the door. She did not see anything. Then she went back to the living room and lifted the couch cushions. There was the keychain, hidden between the fabric and a coin. Nadia smiled and said, "What a relief." She had only lost a few minutes, but she already felt better.
Later, she told Marta what had happened. Marta laughed and told her that, from that day on, she would use a hook by the entrance. Nadia agreed. Before sleeping, she left the keychain in a fixed place and thought that tomorrow she would leave right away without searching so much. She also decided to check her bag before going in.
