La historia
El martes por la tarde, Lucía entró a una cafetería cerca de su trabajo. Llovía bastante y el local estaba lleno. Ella quería sentarse cinco minutos antes de ir a una reunión. Había salido apurada de casa y no había almorzado bien.
Pidió un café con leche y también compró una medialuna. La cajera le dijo que la computadora estaba lenta, pero que el pedido iba a salir enseguida. Lucía miró el celular y esperó. En la mesa de al lado, dos personas hablaban de una entrevista de trabajo.
Después de unos minutos, un mozo dejó dos vasos en su mesa. Uno era para otra clienta, y el otro tenía azúcar, aunque Lucía no la había pedido. Ella pensó que se habían confundido con su nombre. Miró el ticket otra vez y vio que su apellido estaba escrito mal.
Lucía se acercó al mostrador y dijo: "Perdón, creo que este no es mi pedido". El mozo revisó el ticket y sonrió. "Tenés razón, se mezclaron dos órdenes. Ya te lo cambio". En ese momento, una amiga le escribió que llegaba tarde a la reunión. Lucía respiró hondo y miró la puerta.
Se quedó quieta un segundo. Si salía sin comer, iba a llegar con hambre. Si esperaba, llegaría tarde. Entonces le dijo al mozo: "Dame el café para llevar, por favor. Ya no tengo tiempo". Él le preparó otro vaso y le puso la medialuna en una bolsa. También le avisó que podía pagar después, porque la fila estaba larga.
Cuando salió, ya no llovía tanto. Lucía caminó rápido hacia su reunión y abrió el vaso en la calle. Antes de entrar, vio un mensaje nuevo. Su amiga le decía que la reunión se había movido media hora. Lucía sonrió. Volvió a la cafetería, pagó y tomó el café con calma. Al final, todo había salido bien.

The full story in English
On Tuesday afternoon, Lucía went into a coffee shop near her job. It was raining a lot and the place was full. She wanted to sit for five minutes before going to a meeting. She had left home in a hurry and had not eaten lunch well.
She ordered a coffee with milk and also bought a croissant. The cashier told her that the computer was slow, but that the order would come out soon. Lucía looked at her cell phone and waited. At the table next to hers, two people were talking about a job interview.
After a few minutes, a waiter left two cups on her table. One was for another customer, and the other had sugar, even though Lucía had not asked for it. She thought they had mixed up her name. She looked at the ticket again and saw that her last name was written wrong.
Lucía went to the counter and said, "Sorry, I think this is not my order." The waiter checked the ticket and smiled. "You are right, two orders got mixed up. I'll change it for you now." At that moment, a friend wrote to her that she was arriving late to the meeting. Lucía took a deep breath and looked at the door.
