La historia
María salió de la computadora a las cinco y guardó sus cosas. Pensó que tendría una tarde tranquila. Su amiga Laura le había escrito antes, pero María no vio el mensaje a tiempo. Además, tenía una reunión corta con su jefa y salió un poco más tarde de lo que esperaba.
Cuando abrió el celular, encontró una nota nueva. Laura decía que no podía ir a la cafetería porque su hermano estaba enfermo. María se quedó mirando la pantalla un momento y sintió decepción. Quería descansar, pero también pensó que podía hacer otra cosa si llamaba a alguien.

The full story in English
María got up from the computer at five and put away her things. She thought she would have a calm afternoon. Her friend Laura had written to her before, but María did not see the message in time. Also, she had a short meeting with her boss and left a little later than she expected.
When she opened her cell phone, she found a new message. Laura said that she could not go to the café because her brother was sick. María stayed looking at the screen for a moment and felt disappointment. She wanted to rest, but she also thought that she could do something else if she called someone.
Then she called Diego. He answered quickly and said, "No problem. I also finished late." Diego suggested taking the bus and seeing a small fair in the center. María hesitated for a second, but she agreed because she did not want to spend the afternoon alone.
