La historia
Mariana llegó al aeropuerto temprano, con su celular en la mano y un boleto para visitar a su hermana. Quería tomar un autobús después del vuelo. En la puerta, revisó su bolso de una vez y vio que tenía pasaporte, dinero y cargador. Todo estaba en orden.
El vuelo salió tarde, pero llegó sin problemas. Cuando Mariana fue a la banda de equipaje, esperó con paciencia. Pasaron diez minutos. Luego pasaron quince. Su maleta no apareció. Ella miró otra vez el tablero y dijo: "Esto no puede ser".
Un empleado se acercó y le preguntó su nombre. Mariana le mostró el recibo y explicó el color de la maleta. El hombre pensó un momento y dijo que quizá la habían mandado a otra cinta. "Vamos a revisar", le dijo. Mariana respiró hondo y lo siguió.
Caminaron hasta otra zona del aeropuerto, pero allí estaba una sorpresa. Había una maleta parecida a la suya. Mariana la tomó, leyó la etiqueta y pensó que era la correcta. Cuando abrió el bolso exterior, vio una camiseta que no era de ella. Se quedó quieta.
El empleado sonrió con pena. "Esa no es la tuya", dijo. Entonces apareció otra mujer y explicó que esa maleta era suya. Las dos revisaron los nombres y se rieron un poco. Mariana pidió disculpas y devolvió la maleta de una vez.
Más tarde, Mariana fue a la terminal de autobuses, cansada pero tranquila. Allí, por fin, encontró su propia maleta en una oficina pequeña. Ya no estaba apurada. Llamó a su hermana y le dijo: "Todo salió bien, aunque me asusté un poco". Luego subió al autobús y pensó que el viaje, al final, iba a ser más fácil de lo que imaginó.

Mariana arrived at the airport early, with her cell phone in her hand and a ticket to visit her sister. She wanted to take a bus after the flight. At the gate, she checked her bag right away and saw that she had her passport, money, and charger. Everything was in order.
The flight left late, but it arrived without problems. When Mariana went to the baggage claim belt, she waited patiently. Ten minutes passed. Then fifteen passed. Her suitcase did not appear. She looked at the screen again and said, "This cannot be."
An employee came over and asked her name. Mariana showed him the receipt and explained the color of the suitcase. The man thought for a moment and said that maybe they had sent it to another belt. "Let's check," he told her. Mariana took a deep breath and followed him.
They walked to another area of the airport, but there was a surprise there. There was a suitcase similar to hers. Mariana took it, read the tag, and thought it was the right one. When she opened the outer pocket, she saw a T-shirt that was not hers. She stood still.
The employee smiled apologetically. "That is not yours," he said. Then another woman appeared and explained that that suitcase was hers. The two women checked the names and laughed a little. Mariana apologized and returned the suitcase right away.
Later, Mariana went to the bus terminal, tired but calm. There, at last, she found her own suitcase in a small office. She was no longer in a hurry. She called her sister and said, "Everything turned out fine, although I got a little scared." Then she got on the bus and thought that the trip, in the end, was going to be easier than she had imagined.
