Las copias para la reunión

The Copies for the Meeting

Salieron cuatro copias. Después la impresora se quedó sin papel. Ana buscó más en el armario. Solo encontró una caja vacía.

Faltaban diez minutos para la reunión. Ana decidió pedir ayuda a Carmen.

"Muchas gracias", dijo Luis.

On Thursday morning, Ana arrived early at the office. Her coworker Luis was near the door with his cell phone. He had a meeting at nine and looked worried.

"Can you do me a small favor?" Luis asked. "I need twelve copies of this document. I have a call now." Ana agreed. The document had just one page and the printer was near her desk.

Ana opened the document on her computer and started printing. Four copies came out. Then the printer ran out of paper. Ana looked for more in the cupboard. She only found an empty box.

There were ten minutes left before the meeting. Ana decided to ask Carmen for help. Her coworker opened another cupboard and took out a pack of paper. "We've kept it here since yesterday," Carmen explained.

Ana put paper in the printer and printed the eight remaining copies. Then she counted the twelve pages and delivered them on time. Luis finished his call and received the documents with a smile.

"Thank you very much," Luis said. Ana also thanked Carmen. Then she left the pack beside the printer. Now everyone could see the paper.
