Review the connections
Distinguish an asserted fact, a hope and a hypothetical option before choosing a verb form. Keep pronoun references and reported time viewpoints clear. In a longer text, preserve attribution and uncertainty when summarizing. A conclusion should follow from the details rather than from a more dramatic imagined ending.
Read the passage once for the situation and again for the details. Identify who performs each action, the time reference and any contrast or change. If a verb is unfamiliar, use the surrounding sentence before checking the translation. The final questions combine form and meaning, so choose an answer that fits both.
El centro cultural ha recibido varias propuestas para ampliar su biblioteca. Según la coordinadora, abrirá una sala nueva el próximo mes, pero todavía no se ha confirmado si habrá actividades los domingos. Un grupo de vecinos recomienda que se organicen intercambios de libros. A Elena le gustaría participar, aunque trabaja algunos fines de semana. Dice que podría colaborar si el horario fuera flexible. Cuando habló con la coordinadora, le explicó que ya había preparado una lista de autores. La coordinadora le pidió que se la enviara. The cultural center has received several proposals to expand its library. According to the coordinator, it will open a new room next month, but Sunday activities have not yet been confirmed. A group of neighbors recommends organizing book exchanges. Elena would like to participate, although she works some weekends. She says she could help if the schedule were flexible. When she spoke with the coordinator, she explained that she had already prepared a list of authors. The coordinator asked her to send it. Elena does not yet know the final program, so she prefers to wait before inviting her friends.
