En el jardín, Alicia conoció a la Reina de Corazones. La reina gritaba durante un partido de croquet con flamencos y erizos vivos. Después, Alicia asistió a un juicio por el robo de unas tartas. Nadie explicaba bien lo ocurrido, pero la reina ya quería castigar al acusado. Alicia empezó a protestar.

Mientras crecía de nuevo, dejó de tener miedo al tribunal. Dijo que todos eran simplemente una baraja. Las cartas se levantaron y volaron hacia su cara. Alicia despertó junto a su hermana, que le quitaba unas hojas del rostro. Al final comprendió que había soñado. Le contó lo sucedido antes de irse a tomar el té.

In the garden, Alice met the Queen of Hearts. The queen shouted during a game of croquet with live flamingos and hedgehogs. Later, Alice attended a trial over the theft of some tarts. Nobody explained clearly what had happened, but the queen already wanted to punish the accused. Alice began to protest.

As she grew again, she stopped being afraid of the court. She said they were all simply a deck of cards. The cards rose and flew toward her face. Alice woke beside her sister, who was brushing leaves from her face. In the end she understood that she had been dreaming. She told her what had happened before going off to have tea.
