A2 · Chapter 3 of 4 · Edition 1

Jim recupera el barco

Jim recovers the ship

Adapted from Treasure Island, by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Jim secretly left the fort and found the boat Ben Gunn had built. In it he reached the Hispaniola and cut the rope keeping it tied up. Later he climbed aboard and saw the wounded pirate Israel Hands. At first they worked together to move the ship, but Hands tried to kill him. Jim had to defend himself.

After leaving the ship in a sheltered coastal inlet, Jim returned to the fort. He expected to be safe, but his friends had gone and Silver was there with the pirates. Some wanted to hurt him. Silver decided to protect him and sought an agreement with him. The boy could help the cook if his companions lost the struggle.
