Un ratón vive en el campo. Su casa es pequeña y está en la tierra. Tiene comida sencilla y vive tranquilo. Otro ratón vive en la corte, la ciudad del rey. Un día invita al ratón del campo a comer en su casa.
El ratón del campo acepta la invitación. Va a la ciudad y entra con su amigo en una despensa. La despensa es un cuarto con comida. Hay queso de Holanda, jamón y muchas otras cosas. Para un ratón, es un lugar enorme.
—Aquí tenemos mucha comida —dice el ratón de la corte. Su amigo mira el queso. Huele muy bien. Los dos empiezan a comer y están contentos.
A mouse lives in the country. His home is small and is in the ground. He has simple food and lives peacefully. Another mouse lives at court, in the king’s city. One day he invites the country mouse to eat at his home.
The country mouse accepts the invitation. He goes to the city and enters a pantry with his friend. The pantry is a room with food. There is Dutch cheese, ham and many other things. For a mouse, it is an enormous place.
‘We have lots of food here,’ says the court mouse. His friend looks at the cheese. It smells very good. The two start eating and are happy.
