Sentada junto al río, Alicia intentaba interesarse por el libro de su hermana, aunque no tenía dibujos ni conversaciones. Todo cambió cuando, de repente, pasó un conejo blanco que consultaba su reloj y se quejaba de llegar tarde. Alicia, dominada por la curiosidad, lo siguió hasta una madriguera. Solo después de empezar a caer se preguntó cómo volvería a salir.
En el fondo encontró un salón con varias puertas y una diminuta llave. A través de la puerta más pequeña distinguió un jardín que deseaba explorar. Una bebida redujo su tamaño, pero había dejado la llave sobre la mesa. Para alcanzarla, probó un pastel que la hizo crecer demasiado. Cada solución parecía crear una dificultad nueva.
Sitting beside the river, Alice tried to take an interest in her sister’s book, although it had no pictures or conversations. Everything changed when a white rabbit suddenly passed, checking its watch and complaining about being late. Overcome by curiosity, Alice followed it to a burrow. Only after she began to fall did she wonder how she would get out again.
At the bottom she found a hall with several doors and a tiny key. Through the smallest doorway she could make out a garden she longed to explore. A drink reduced her size, but she had left the key on the table. To reach it, she tried a cake that made her grow too much. Each solution seemed to create a new difficulty.
