Advice in the woods

Tras llorar hasta formar un charco, Alicia volvió a encogerse y quedó atrapada en sus propias lágrimas. Logró alcanzar la orilla con otros animales y continuó su viaje. En el bosque, una oruga instalada sobre una seta le preguntó quién era. Alicia ya no estaba segura: desde la mañana, ni siquiera su cuerpo había permanecido igual.

Siguiendo el consejo de la oruga, aprendió poco a poco qué efecto tenía cada lado de la seta. Más adelante encontró al gato de Cheshire, cuya sonrisa parecía separarse de su cuerpo. Alicia le pidió una dirección, sin saber cuál debía ser su destino. El gato le hizo notar que, sin esa decisión, cualquier camino podía servir.

After crying until she formed a pool, Alice shrank again and became trapped in her own tears. She managed to reach the shore with other animals and continued her journey. In the woods, a caterpillar settled on a mushroom asked her who she was. Alice was no longer sure: since that morning, not even her body had stayed the same.

Following the caterpillar’s advice, she gradually learned what effect each side of the mushroom had. Farther on she met the Cheshire Cat, whose smile seemed to detach itself from its body. Alice asked it for a direction, without knowing what her destination should be. The cat pointed out that, without that decision, any path might do.
