Jim Hawkins vive en una posada con su familia. Un viejo marinero, Billy Bones, llega con un cofre y muchos secretos. Otros hombres lo buscan. Cuando Billy muere, Jim y su madre abren el cofre. Ella recoge el dinero que él les debe. Jim toma un paquete de papeles antes de escapar.

Jim Hawkins lives at an inn with his family. An old sailor, Billy Bones, arrives with a chest and many secrets. Other men are looking for him. When Billy dies, Jim and his mother open the chest. She takes the money he owes them. Jim takes a packet of papers before escaping.
The papers include a map of an island. Captain Flint’s treasure is there. Doctor Livesey and Mr Trelawney prepare a voyage. Jim goes on board the Hispaniola with them. They are going in search of riches. The cook, John Silver, has only one leg and seems very friendly.
