Billy Bones’s arrival changed Jim Hawkins’s life at the family inn. The sailor watched the coast and feared a visit from his former companions. When he died, Jim and his mother opened his chest to recover what he owed. Among his belongings was a packet of papers. Jim took it with him as he escaped from the men who had come looking for it.
The map inside pointed everyone toward a destination: the island where Flint had hidden his treasure. Livesey and Trelawney prepared the Hispaniola, and Jim embarked in search of adventure. On board, John Silver seemed an attentive, experienced cook. However, his friendliness concealed connections with several crew members. Danger was not waiting only on the island: it was travelling with them.
