Another chance

Adapted from Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen.

Bingley vuelve y pide a Jane que se case con él. Ella acepta, muy feliz. La tía de Darcy visita a Elizabeth. No quiere que su sobrino se case con ella y le pide una promesa. Elizabeth no promete nada. Quiere elegir por sí misma su futuro.

Darcy habla de nuevo con Elizabeth. Todavía la quiere, pero no desea obligarla a nada. Ahora ella también lo quiere. Los dos reconocen sus errores y hablan con respeto. Se casan, igual que Jane y Bingley. Elizabeth sigue queriendo a su familia y conserva su humor. Su nueva vida no exige dejar de ser ella misma.

Bingley returns and asks Jane to marry him. She happily accepts. Darcy’s aunt visits Elizabeth. She does not want her nephew to marry her and asks her for a promise. Elizabeth promises nothing. She wants to choose her future for herself.

Darcy speaks with Elizabeth again. He still loves her, but does not wish to force her into anything. Now she loves him too. They both acknowledge their mistakes and speak with respect. They marry, as do Jane and Bingley. Elizabeth continues to love her family and keeps her sense of humour. Her new life does not require her to stop being herself.
